Helen Marie Classen, 90, of Blue Hill Care Center, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska. Helen was born November 18, 1913 in Clay County, Nebraska to Fred E. & Anna C. (Hinrichs) Meyer.

Helen attended rural school #31, West Lynn in Clay County. On February 13, 1934, she was united in marriage to Herman G. Classen, at Zion Lutheran Church at the former Naval Ammunition Depot. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1999. She lived her entire life on the family farm west of Glenvil until April 15, 2004, when she moved to the nursing home due to health. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was a past member of the Lutheran Church Women's group, remaining active in their sewing projects for Lutheran World Relief.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman, two brothers and one sister.
