Ellen L. Classen, 80, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Haven Home of Kenesaw. Ellen was born July 25, 1926 in Ayr, Nebraska to Harm & Anna (Gartner) Johnson.
Ellen graduated from Roseland High School. She married Clarence Classen on August 29, 1945 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church west of Glenvil. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1975. Clarence and Ellen farmed near the Glenvil area from 1945 until Clarence death. Ellen then moved to Hastings where she was employed by the Hastings Tribune for ten years. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Classen, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
