Lenezzia "Lay-Lay" L. Clarke, 18, of Central St., departed this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of Lenford Clarke and Nahwasha Lowe and had been employed as a paralegal in a local law firm. She is survived by her father, Lenford Clarke of Kingston, Jamaica; her mother, Nawasha Lowe of Springfield; her step-father, Fareed Ali; her grandmothers, Tayna Lowe and Ionie Clarke; her great-grandparents, Johnnie Mae Lowe, Arthur Lowe, Beatrice Smith, and Paul Smith; five sisters, Naquiri Lowe, Dayssoince Lowe, Daquiri Lowe, Drawde Mitchell, and Nevaehza Dancy; five brothers, Devon Clarke, Devontae Clarke, Kwamie Lowe, Edward Mitchell, and William Dancy; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends to cherish her memory. The calling hour is 11 a.m. to noon Friday at St. John's Congregational Church followed by the funeral at noon, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
