A private graveside service for Mrs. Margaret Clark Armentrout, 70, of 608 W. Bank Street, Bridgewater, will be held at Woodbine Cemetery.
A daughter of the late Clarence P. and Muriel Snyder Clark, she was born on October 13, 1924 in Harrisonburg, and attended Harrisonburg City Schools.
On April 7, 1977 she married Edsel L. Armentrout who preceded her in death July 15, 1991.
She had lived in Sumter, South Carolina from 1977 until 1992 when she returned to this area.
Mrs. Armentrout was employed at Friddle's Bakery in Harrisonburg and also at Red Front Supermarket as a bookkeeper from 1951 until 1977.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Surviving is one brother, one niece, one nephew, one great-niece, one nephew-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Mrs. Armentrout was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Brown in 1979.
Friends may call at the home of her brother, 920 Oakland Street, or at the home of her niece at 680 Broadview Drive at any time.
Mrs. Armentrout died Wednesday afternoon, August 2, 1995 at Riverview Nursing Home in Bridgewater where she had been a guest for the past seventeen months.
The Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
