Ruth quietly slipped away at her home surrounded by her family after a short decline of her health at the age of ninety-three years. She was comfortable and alert to the last, always expressing gratitude for her care and love for her family.

Ruth Clark Bentley, born October 1, 1921 in Farmington, passed away on December 26, 2014.

Ruth was the daughter of Orson and Lucile Clark.

She married Shelby Mickelson on January 29, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Ruth loved people and enjoyed their associations. She treasured her many friends including those in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Literary Club.

She was the librarian for Syracuse, Layton, and Bountiful Elementary. She enjoyed working with children in her family and her community.

She served an LDS mission at the Orlando Temple.

Ruth is survived by her children, Shelby Kent Bentley (Hazel), Kathryn Gray (Kent), Michael Clark Bentley (Tammy), and Clark John Bentley (Sandy); twenty-two grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shelby; and daughter, Susan Bluth.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Farmington Steed Creek Chapel, 347 South 200 West. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, and prior to the services at the church on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment-Farmington City Cemetery.
