HEALDTON -- Services for Dorothea "Dottie" Ruth Battiloro, 78, Wilson, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Assembly of God Church with the Rev. John Harris and a nephew, Robert Garaziano officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery.
Born July 8, 1922, south of Wilson, to Mason Melton Clark Sr. and Elizabeth Ava Garvin Clark, she died Nov. 8, 2000, at Healdton. She married Ralph Jerry Battiloro March 16, 1946, at Ardmore. He preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J.D. Clark; and two sisters, Mable Thompson and Cordelia Neill.
Growing up south of Wilson, she attended school at Zaneis Pubic School. She married Battiloro when he was stationed at the Ardmore air base. They lived at Ardmore briefly before moving to Brooklyn, N.Y., where she was employed by RCA as a line supervisor for over 25 years. She retired in 1972. She and her husband retired to Jenson Beach, Fla., living there for six years before returning to Wilson in 1978. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Healdton.
Survivors include one brother, Mace "M.M." Clark, and a sister-in-law, Maxine, Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
Bearers are Wayne Brown, Jimmy Clark, Clark Neill, Curtis Ramsey, Tim Brown and Willie Timmons. Honorary bearers are Bobby Clark, Gerald Timmons and John Neill.
Scriptural wake services will be 7 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, with the Rev. Louis Lamb officiating.
