Caroline Mae "Carol" (Clark) (Romero) Brown was born on December 23. 1935 in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana, and she was the daughter of Lloyd D "Bud" Clark (1895–1956) and Lena D (Helfrick) Clark (1909–1982).

She was married 1st on June 19, 1954 in Columbus, Stillwater County, Montana to Willard Lloyd Romero (1931–1994), and he was the son of Lloyd Brijido Romero (1910–2003) and Rachel M (Deaguero) Romero (1912–1977). Carol and Willard were divorced on March 19, 1982 in Yellowstone County, and in October 1984 Carol married 2nd to Kenneth Edward "Ken" Brown (1927–2003), the son of William Brown (1886–1962) and Emma Pauline (Blanchard) Brown (1886–1953). Ken joked that even though he married a Montana girl, she had hardly seen much of the state, so once they were married, they were traveled the state, exploring and getting to know the state in which she was born.

Carol was outgoing and friendly, with a personality that never met a stranger. Carol was active in the YMCA, the Red Hatter Sassy Lassies as well as enjoying several lunch groups with girlfriends. She had a zest for life and was like the energizer bunny.

She was also an avid gardener and cook who loved cooking for family and friends, and her yard was known for the gorgeous rose garden that lined her driveway. As for cooking, she was especially famous for her German chocolate cake and homemade salsa. Carol was active in her church, helping wherever she could. One of her projects was to make baby blankets for the newborns. She loved sewing and creating, and there was always a project on the table or in her mind.

In addition to being a mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend and social butterfly, she had several jobs, with one of her favorites being a Flagger for Local Union 98. She had also been a Fire Watch at Conoco where fellow workers would track her down for the bag of candy she always had in her pocket. She also enjoyed being a baker at Rocky Mountain College, where she had her own baking area and could do her own thing.

Still in Billings, Carol was 77 years old when she passed away on January 22, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, brothers Lloyd Clark, Lee Clark, Ray Clark and Dick Clark and by her sister Shirley. Survivors included three daughters and a son-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, sisters Clara Clark in Elk Grove, California and Mrs Mary Wells & husband DuWayne Wells of Hutchison, Kansas, brother Bob Clark & wife Linda Clark at Billings, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services were held on January 25th at Cremation & Funeral Gallery, and burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings.
