Mrs. E. E. Bamford Called by Death
Friends of Mrs. E. E. Bamford in Centerville and vicinity were greatly shocked to hear of her death just before noon on Wednesday of this week, following a very short illness. The end came at her home at 310 E. Maple street, after a gallant fight for life extending over several days.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 from the Methodist church at Centerville, conducted by Dr. Thos. Osborn. The body will be taken to Allerton for burial in the family plot.
The childhood home of Mrs. Bamford was near Allerton, she being born May 23, 1866, and being at the time of her death 55 years, 10 months and 19 days old. Her maiden name was Susie B. Clark. She was married to Dr. E. E. Bamford, May 14, 1893, and they made their home in Allerton until they moved the practice to Centerville where he was at the head of the well known Bamford clinic. They have no children, and of her brothers and sisters, there formerly being seven girls and two boys in the family, only one brother and one sister are living, they being Lloyd Clark and Mrs. B. F. Allen both of Terre Haute, Ind. Her mother died 28 years ago, her father 19 years ago.—Centerville Journal.
