Mr.William David Clark, age 62, of Lanett, passed away at EAMC Opelika Hospital on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Mr. Clark was born on April 9, 1952 in Missouri.

He attended New Unity Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:00P.M. (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Derek Hubbard officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00P.M. (EST) to 8:00P.M. (EST).

He is survived by his son, Tracy M. (Elaine) Clark; grandchildren, Brittnay, Brandon, Makahla Clark; sister, Jane (Roger) Garner; niece and nephew, Keith and Jamie Garner; sister and brother in law, Gene and Peggy Gough; nephews, Brian and Donald (Angela) Gough; great nephews and niece, Hunter, Cody, Andrew, Miranda Gough; sister in law, Yvonne Hawkins; niece and nephews, Melissa (Derrick) Sellers, Chris Meigs, Barry Jason Kirk; great nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Josh, Chris, Jr., Jena, Sarah; sister in law and brother in law, Paula (Leonard) Curry; nieces, Michelle Curry, Lisa (Derek) Hubbard; nephews, Austin and Andrew Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Denise Clark; daughter, Tonya Marie Clark; brother, Thomas Michael Clark; mother, Elanor Clark; Father, L.W. Clark; brother in law, Paul Meigs; great niece, Laura Meigs.

Mr. Clark served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran. He worked for several years in the Shawmut Mill. He later worked and retired from Auburn University as a professor in Polyfiber engineering.
