"HIS FUNERAL VERY LARGELY ATTENDED: Mr. CLARK Laid to Rest In Linwood With Rites of Masonic Fraternity. // The funeral of Mr. William CLARK, whose death occurred Friday morning, took place at three o'clock yesterday afternoon from his late residence, No. 1227 Third avenue. // The funeral was one of the most largely attended held in Columbus in years, and was a touching occasion, especially to the many older citizens who had known Mr. CLARK so intimately and pleasantly for so many years. Their grief was manifested in unmistakable manner, and the service was one of unusual solemnity and impressiveness. A wealth of flowers rested on the bier, the floral offerings being of unusual beauty. // The service was conducted by Rev. Guyton FISHER, pastor of St. Paul Methodist church, and the Rev. S. Alston WRAGG, rector of Trinity church. // The cortege that followed the remains of Mr. CLARK to his last resting place in Linwood was one of the longest seen in this city in years. He was buried with the impressive rites of the Masonic fraternity, Columbian lodge No. 7, of which he was a member, attending in a body. The pallbearers were Messers. E. L. WELLS, C. J. EDGE, George B. WHITESIDE, T. W. BATES, H. M. HOWARD, Daniel E. WILLIAMS, Dan JOSEPH and R. R. THWEATT."
