ARLAGENE CLARK BAILEY Arlagene Bailey passed away at home on March 29, 2011.
She was a resident of Riverside for 53 years and a long time active member of the La Sierra University SDA Church. Arlagene was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to John and Floy Brown Clark in 1922. She grew up in Eagle Rock and Glendale, California. Arlagene attended Glendale High School and Glendale Adventist Academy, graduating from GAA in 1940. She took pre-nursing at La Sierra College in Riverside from 1940-1942. Nurses training followed at the White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles where she graduated in 1945. She married Dr. Donald E. Bailey in 1951. They first lived in Martinez, CA and then Marion, IN. The family, now with 2 sons, moved back to California in 1957. They lived in Pomona, CA as Don worked as a physician for the California State Corrections in Chino. They soon moved to the La Sierra area of Riverside where Arlagene lived for the rest of her life. Don passed away in 1999. Arlagene volunteered at the La Sierra University SDA Church for over 20 years and the Riverside National Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held at the La Sierra University SDA Church in Riverside on April 17 at 1:30pm. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 15, at the Sierra Memorial Chapel in Riverside from 4:00 to 7:00pm. In Charge of Arrangements
