Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 9, 2003, Edward Louis Clark, Sr., husband of Doris Ruth Borders Clark. Residence, James Island, SC.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Louis Clark, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Saturday January 11, 2003 at Three o clock in James Island Baptist Church, 3483 Wappoo Drive. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Clark was born February 9, 1914 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, the son of Edward Ellis Clark and Eva Estelle Grooms Clark. He retired as a truck driver with Union Oil Company and retired as shop supervisor of Clontz-Garrison Mechanical Contractor Heating Air Conditioning.

He is survived by his wife of James Island, SC; 3 sons: Edward Louis Clark, Jr. of Iva, SC, Donald C. Johnson and Douglas W. Johnson both of James Island, SC; three daughters: Barbara Darrow of Bonneau, SC, Grace Clontz of Charleston, SC and Carol Bammann of James Island, SC; 18 grandchildren , 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to James Island Baptist Church, 3483 Wappoo Drive, James Island, SC 29412.
