Services for Claire Clark, 79, Indianapolis, formerly of Danville, will be Thursday, February 7 at 10 a.m. in the Eastgate Christian Church, Indianapolis, of which she was a member. Rev Daniel Kitchel will officiate, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Weaver Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of arrangements and calling. Born in Hendricks County October 23, 1905, she was the daughter of Everette and Minnie Patterson Robinson. She married Homer T. Clark who preceded her in death in 1941. Mrs. Clark, who died Monday, February 4 in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, had been a bookkeeper at the First National Bank, Danville, for many years. She was a graduate of Central Normal College and former Hendricks County Deputy Recorder. She was a former member of Danville Christian Church. Surviving are two sons, Rev David H. Clark, French Lick, and Philip M. Clark, Lima, Ohio; and six grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Eastgate Christian Church.
Note: Her name was May Claire Robinson Clark. In 1930, she was living with her in-laws, George T. and Ida M. Clark, and her husband, Homer. Her name was recorded as May C. Clark. Homer was a teacher for a high school. They lived in Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana, so it may have been Danville where he worked.
