Mrs. Stella Blackford, 77, passed
away Saturday at Grayville. Fur.-
eral services were held Monday at
the Ingram Funeral Home at 10:30
a. m. Officiating clergyman was
Rev. Raymond Clodfelder with
final rites at Anna cemetery, Anna.

Stella Agnes M. Clark, daughter
of John H. and Elizabeth Miller
Clark, was born in Edwards coun-
ty Aug. 23. 1880. On October 25,
1901 she was united in marriage to
Posey Blackford who preceded her
in death. To this marriage four,
daughters were born: Alice, who
passed away in 1923; Tirzah (Mrs.
Conrad Casper), Anna; Juanita
(Mrs. Willard Pearson) and Mary
Helen (Mrs. Russell Baldwin) both
of Chelsea, Michigan.

She also leaves one brother,'
John A. Clark of Albion; one nep-
hew, John Franklin Clark of De-
troit, Mich.; one niece, Mary Virginia
Nelson of Albion; five grand-
children and two great grandchil-
dren.

In her youth Mrs. Blackford be-
came a member of the Fortney
church, later moving her member-
ship to the Albion Methodist
church. In 1919 the family moved
to Anna. In 1936 she returned to
Albion where she remained until
the time of her death.
