EAST PEORIA, IL - Albert W. Clark, 97, of East Peoria passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Washington Supportive Care in Washington, Ill.
Born March 9, 1911, in Iowa to Perry and Cora Clark, he married Grace Brant in Missouri in 1927. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are four children, Don (Ida) Clark and Carol (Les) Williams, both of Washington, Ill., and Karen (Ron) Little and Doris Runyon, both of East Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Perry Clark of Yakima, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, infant twins and several brothers and sisters.
Albert was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. and had also farmed and operated a gas station.
He was a member of the East Peoria Free Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. at the East Peoria Free Methodist Church. The Rev. Ivan Timm will be officiating. Additional visitation will be one half-hour before services. Interment will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the East Peoria Free Methodist Church.
