Margaret was the daughter of James Clark & Alice Laird. She immigrated to this country in 1903 with her family from Scotland and they settled in Huntington, WV. She first married Thomas Truxton Stiles, Jr. and had a son Thomas Truxton Stiles, who was born in 1918. Her husband may have died as she then marries Kenneth McD. Buford in 1922 in Huntington. This family lived in Huntington and Charleston at least until the 1930's. They lived out the rest of their lives in Mercer County.
