Edna M "Hale" Clark, 83, of Spotsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

Born in Alexandria, she was a graduate from George Washington High School. She married Harold D. Clark Sr of Wynce, Arkansas, where they travelled the globe until finally settling down in Northern Virginia, where she began a career in the government.

From 1969 to 1971 she became a procurement clerk at Cameron Station; from 1972 to 1979 she was a procurement officer working for the Department of Defense at Arlington National Cemetery. She worked briefly for the Veterans Administration and then back to Cameron Station as a contract specialist. In 1990, she retired from the Pentagon where she worked as a Supervisory Contract Specialist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Clark.

She is survived by seven children; 19 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was a kind, gentle, caring, loving mother, and grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
