Early Life: Jeanie was born on August 21, 1931, in Orem, Utah, to James Henry Clark and Ina Cutler Clark.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Jeanie married Williston Wesley "Wes" Carpenter on September 24, 1954, in Canandaigua, New York. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 22, 1960. She was a lifelong, dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the Church including: counselor in the Young Women Presidency, girls camp director, Primary teacher, pianist, organist and in-service teacher. Jeanie loved to play the piano and sing and was active for many years in various choirs in Utah, Hawaii and Florida. Jeanie was also active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She and Wes were avid square dancers for many years. Mary Jean "Jeanie" Clark Carpenter passed away on January 19, 2014, in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Survived By: Four children: Wesley, James A. (Katrina), Thomas (Sandy) and Suzanne; one brother, James Clark; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; her brother, Marion; her sisters, Thora and Lettie; one grandson, Jens Monson Carpenter and one great-grandson, James Alexander Carpenter.
