BERTIE NELL CLARK went to be with her Lord July 25, 2014. She was born in Kelsey, Texas on April 4, 1924.
Bertie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, A.C. Clark, as well as her four brothers.
She is survived by her five children: son Jerry Clark and wife Pat of Salado, Texas, daughter Donna Dawson and husband Garrett of Alvin, Texas, son Cartis Clark and wife Sue of Dusk, Texas, daughter Kathy Marek and husband Donnie of Alvin, Texas, daughter Janice Hornback and husband Mike of Danbury, Texas, and brother Doc Methvin of Follett, Texas; and thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bertie was an active member of the Trinity Apostolic Faith Church of Alvin, Texas for 51 years. Among her many projects for the church, organizing the live nativity every year at Christmas was closest to her heart. Bertie was a wonderful Christian, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is dearly loved by all and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oak Park Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will nr held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Park Funeral Home with Pastors Ron Martin and Bill Erixson officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are C.L. White, Clark White, Rodney Copeland, Clint Taylor, Jeff Hornback, Patrick Hornback and Barry Methvin.
