"CLARK, Cecil The relatives and friends of Lt. Colonel and Mrs. Cecil Meadows Clark USAF (Ret.) are invited to attend his Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at Stella Maris Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy., on Tuesday evening, between 5 and 7 p.m. Lt. Col. Clark was born in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, October 30, 1929, a son of Cecil E. Clark and Oliver Corker Clark. He enlisted at the age of 19 and retired after 23 years of faithful service to his country. During his distinguished career he was the chief mission planner for the "FON TAY" rescue team in November 1970. Lt. Col. Clark received two degrees from Fayetteville Technical Institute, one in Electronics and the other in Electronic Data Processing. He enjoyed golf, reading history and politics and never lost his deep love of Mt. Pleasant. He is coming home. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Mosier Clark; two daughters, Erryn C. Shannon of Fayetteville, N.C., and Shannon C. Hodge of Dallas, Texas, four sisters, Ann Clark and Sarah C. Cook of Mt. Pleasant, Irene C. Brunson of John's Island and Edna C. Bibb of Alvin, Texas, and one brother, Robert E. Clark of Latta, S.C. He is predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy C. Scotland and Patricia C. Cantwell.
