Carol was the daughter of Carl and Ann (Gibson) Smith. She married James "Mickey" Clark on April 30, 1965, in Haywood. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and taught preschool for close to 40 years. She passed away at St. Francis Medical Center at the age of 65. Survivors include one son, Carl Milton Clark, of Haywood; one daughter, Vanessa Ann Clark, of Haywood; mother, Ann Smith, of McAlester; brother, Phillip Ray Smith, of Krebs, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; father; one brother, Randy Smith, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in McAlester with the Rev. Kenneth Morrow officiating. Burial will be at Arpelar Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Ronald Steveson, Ryan Davis, Howard Schoggins, Buddy Stacy, Shannon Barkley and William Surritte. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Clark, Donald Clark, Harold Talbot, Curtis Clark, Jimmy Talbot, Darren Schoggins, Fred Mos, Gary Clark and Danny Clark.
