CHARLES L. CLARK, 82, of Mont Alto, died Thursday at Waynesboro Hospital. Born in St. Thomas township, he was the son of the late J.F.A. and Sarah A. Fessler Clark. When he was 17 years old he moved to Hagerstown.
Mr. Clark was a miller and was employed for 35 years at Stickell's Mill as a miller and millwright. For a number of years he was employed as a cabinet maker at Moller Organ Works. He retired in 1948 following the death of his wife, Myrtle L. Ruth Clark. Since then he has resided at Mont Alto with his daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Rhea Barnhart.
He was a member of the Hagerstown Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving are son, Chester L., Hagerstown; daughter, Mrs. Rhea Barnhart, Mont Alto; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey W. Clark, Chambersburg; sister, Mrs. Leslie Stouffer, Chambersburg.
Funeral services were held at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro; burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
