Gordon L. CLARK, 67, Woodspoint #30, North Manchester, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday at Marion General Hospital.
Born in Wabash County to Roy and Faye BAKER CLARK, he was a lifetime resident of Wabash County. On May 1, 1948, in North Manchester, he married Arlene HOOVER who survives. He served with the Navy in World War II. In 1992 he retired after 20 years with the Manchester Community School system. He was a member of the First Brethren Church and the Lions Club.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs.Tad (Teresa) McFARLAND, Elkhart; a son, Jack K. CLARK, Arlington Heights, Ill.; a grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Mary Louise) GRONINGER, Akron; Mrs. Robert (Donnabelle) HOFFMAN, Wabash; and Mrs. Sandra HEASTON, Huntington. Preceding in death were three sisters and two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Peaody Chapel with the Rev. Marlin McCANN and Rev. Robert SCHMEISER officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bender Chapel, Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, North Manchester and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Peabody Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Brethren Church or the Peabody Home Foundation.
