Carlene Clark Akers, 91, of Pulaski, died Saturday morning, Feb. 24, 1996, at the Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg. She was born June 28, 1904, in Montgomery County and was the daughter of the late John Henry Clark and Della Clark Britt. She also was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Blain Akers.

She is survived by nine children:
Charles Hampton Akers
Clarbel Akers
Dorothy A. Ford
John D. Akers
Betty A. Linkous
James Kelly Akers
George D. Akers
Barbara A. Crockett
Janet A. Cundiff

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feburary 27, 1996 at the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
