Robert E. Clark, 87, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010, at a local nursing center. Interment of his cremated remains, with military honors, will be in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
He was born on March 22, 1922, in Syracuse, New York.
He and Harriett Anne Kempf were married on October 24, 1941, in Syracuse, New York.
He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a twenty year employee of Operating Engineers in Syracuse, New York and a twenty year employee of the City of Abilene, Texas.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Harriett A. Clark of Abilene; two sons, James Robert Clark and Russell Andrew Clark, both of Abilene; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Gabrielle and Mason Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
