Tomett Y. Bateman

Tomett Y. "Tomee" Bateman, 46, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

She was born Nov. 26, 1964, in Vincennes. She married Robert Bateman of Loogootee, and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother, Karen (Dodd) Ridge of Vincennes; daughter, Tasha Douda and her husband Edward of Bloomington; son, Brett Willis of Decker; stepdaughter, Shanda Hundanich of Vincennes; sisters, Deb Harper of Shelbyville, Karen Neighbors and Stacey Clapp, both of Vincennes; brothers, Doug Raley of Princeton, Greg Raley of Vincennes, Tom Clapp, Carl Clapp, Bobby Clapp and Jim Clapp, all of Shelbyville, Paul Clapp of Switz City and Earl Thomas Clapp Jr. of Washington; grandchildren, Stephanie Hundanich, Des'tanee Evans, Ashlyn Hundanich, Alexis Hundanich and Sierra Hundanich, all of Vincennes, Trystan Clapp of Bloomington, Devyn Mason of Oregon and Owyn Willis of Decker; and sister-in-law, Mandy Bateman of Loogootee.

Preceding her in death were her father, Earl Thomas Clapp Sr.; sons, Michael Ridge, Andrew Ridge and Steven Willis Jr.; stepfather, "Buck" Ridge; and sister, Dawn Clapp.

Tomee was a caterer for Black Buggy Restaurant.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with her grandkids and was a NASCAR fan. She made the best of everything, and overcame many things.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. in Vincennes. Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
