Doris M. Brown, 78,of York, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at her home. She was the wife of Michael I. Brown and the late Wilbert E. Gentzler.
Doris was born in York, on May 15, 1930, a daughter of the late Eugene T. and Anna (Ness) Clancy. She had worked for GTE, the Bon-Ton, and the former George's Stationary. Doris was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Garcy of Orland Park, Ill.; two sons, Thomas A. Blackwell of York and Steven E. Gentzler of Dover; two stepsons, Michael Brown of York and Robert Brown of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Clancy of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene A. Clancy.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
