Emilie was born on July 21, 1935 in Olathe, Colorado, to Samuel Cisneros and Alberta Gallegos. She spent her childhood in Olathe, graduating from Olathe High School.
She married Shirley L. "Bud" Brown on December 26, 1952 in Montrose. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1980.
Emilie was a baker and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with her grandchildren, watching John Wayne movies and the Denver Broncos.
She never knew a stranger, only friends she hadn't met. She was a member of the Palisade Christian Church. Emilie had resided in Palisade for the last 41 years.
Emilie is survived by her sons: Jim and Jack Brown, both of Palisade, and Jerry Brown, of Littleton; sister, Lupe Wooten, of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Sam, Louie and Manuel, and sister, Jennie Ronquillo.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jim Petermen will officiate.
Martin Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial donations in Emilie's memory may be directed to the American Heart Association .
