ANGELINE "ANGIE" SCHAFFNER passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Nassau Bay, Texas at the age of 76 years. Angie was born June 15, 1934 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Paul and Michelle (Lomparnardo) Cirillo.

A former resident of Butler, Pennsylvania, Angie was a resident of Pearland, Texas for 41 years. She was a devout parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland. Angie was an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling and crochet.

Angie is preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Swanzy. She is survived by a loving family; her husband of 58 years, Norman John Schaffner; five children, Janet L. Stanley and her husband, Chuck, of Manvel, Texas, Leo F. Schaffner and his wife, Kristine, of Pearland, Paul J. Schaffner and his wife, Donna, of Pearland, John M. Schaffner, of Houston, Texas, and Norman J. Schaffner, Jr., of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, William Cirillo and Mike Cirillo, both of Butler, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Chuck Stanley, Jr. and his wife, Rayanne, of Cibolo, Texas, John David Stanley and his wife, Jennifer, of Katy, Texas, Stephanie Michelle Schaffner, of Pearland, Jennifer Marie Schaffner, of Pearland, Courtney Schaffner, of Pearland, Christy Wootton and her husband, Andrew, of Dallas, Texas, and Sean M. Schaffner, of Pearland; five great-grandchildren, Nathan London and Zander Enzo Stanley, both of Cibolo, Riley DiLiberato, of Pearland, and Lanie Ann and Kathleen Allison Wootton, both of Dallas; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2010, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road in Pearland, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 AM Friday, July 2, 2010, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Fr. Carl James Courville celebrating. Rite of committal will follow at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston. Those serving as pallbearers are; her three sons, Leo F. Schaffner, Paul J. Schaffner, and John M. Schaffner, son-in-law, Chuck Stanley, Sr., and her four grandsons, Chuck Stanley, Jr., John David Stanley, Andrew Wootton, and Sean M. Schaffner.
