She was the wife of Benjamin Burley, and mother of Joseph and Nannie.

Benj. and E.A. Burley raised the youngest orphaned children of Eliz. Ann Cilley's brother, Hon. Jonathan Cilley (killed in a duel in 1838) after his widow, Deborah Prince Cilley, died in 1844. The children were raised in Epping: General Jonathan Prince Cilley (b. 29 Dec 1835, d. 6 Apr 1920), and Julia Draper Cilley Lazell (b. 20 Dec 1837, d. 1 Jan 1909).
