Kathleen was the daughter of Alex Cichy and Blanche O'Neil. She graduated from Manistee High School in 1938. She was married to Ted Walters on 7 July 1943 in Manistee. She later married Lawrence Kedrowski on 22 June 1949 in Manistee at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. They were the parents of 3 children; Ruth, Mary Kay and Robert.
