Sharon Star Allen, age 60, of Beckley, God called his angel home on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
Born July 12, 1952, in Beckley to the late Ambrose Church and Nellie Chandler Church.
Sharon retired with over 30 years of service to the Raleigh County Board of Education and U.S. Census.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Darrell Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sheri Dawn Tyree and husband Donald Tyree, Jr., of Daniels; sons, James Rickey Adkins, Jr., and wife Denise Clifford Adkins of MacArthur, and Michael Adkins of Beckley; sisters, Gail Newsome and husband John of Beckley, and Lanell Spencer and husband David of Beckley; brothers, Jerry Church and wife Wilma of Princeton, Ambers Junior Church of Washington State, Joseph Lynn Church of Beckley, Darus Dale Church of Montana; grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Jordan, Rickey, Ryan, and Racheal; and a great-grandson, Christian; also a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Graveside rites and interment will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity with Pastor Phil Farrington officiating.
There will be no visitation.
