Judith Vern Church passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer on Jan 26, 2011. She was born at the Riverview Clinic in Raymond, WA on Apr 26, 1942 to Lloyd and Dorothy Pratt. She went to school in South Bend, WA and graduated in 1960. She married Jennings C "Bud" Church on Nov 17, 1961 in Montesano. They moved to Alaska and lived in logging camps for Bud's work from 1967 to 1976. Then they moved back to Montesano, where they bought property and built their own home. She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Dorothy. In addition to her husband, Bud, she is survived by her sons Mark and Chris and daughter-in-law Connie, her two grandsons, Taylor and Kellen, and her two brothers, Edgar and Bill, all of Montesano.
Judi loved being a homemaker and was an excellent cook. She was also an artist and loved to paint. She enjoyed woodworking as well as working in her yard and property at their home in Brady. A prominent feature of their landscaping are the beautiful rock walls Judi built surrounding their home. She doted on her grandchildren and attended all of their sports and school events through the years.
