Wanda Marie Bailey was born on May 26, 1920 in Leonard, Texas, a premature baby not expected to live. She died on March 3, 2012 at the age of 91 years and 9 months. She married Joe W. Chumbley, Jr. on September 26, 1940. She worked for Braniff Airways and Hardwicke-Etter Company during World War II. During the 1950's and 1960's, she worked for Sherman Manufactoring Company and Hardwicke-Etter Company again as a receptionist and switchboard operator. She was an avid reader and an excellent knitter. She is the mother of Anne Elizabeth Chumbley McGrew, grandmother to Erin Elisabeth McGrew Herndon and Patrick Ryan McGrew, and great-grandmother to Bryson, Brendan, and Bailey McGrew.
