Janie is survived by Don "Sonny," her loving husband of 59 years. She was preceded in death by her mom, Mary Essie Chubb; and dad, William Thomas Chubb.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Billie Chubb of Thompson Falls; children, Violet and Herb Harris of Ronan, Barb and Virgil Rinke of Ronan, Bill and Judy Chisholm of Lynden, Wash., Thom and Brandy Chisholm of Ronan, and Jennifer and Jeff Brander of St. Ignatius; grandchildren, Billie Jo, Josh (Kerri), Stacey (Callahan), Matthew, Lillian (Istok), Avery, Travis (Becca), Robert, Kolby, Carson, Duncan, Afton and Sydney; great-grandchildren, Ben, Cameron, Madison, Brennan, Dalton, Haley, Logan and Luke; and many close family friends.
Janie was born in Thompson Falls on Feb. 20, 1934. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in the class of 1951 and attended the University of Montana in Missoula.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Lonepine Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hot Springs High School Concession Club, American Heart Association or Shriners Hospital for Children.
