R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The sudden passing of Kit Austin Christopher on September 14, 1996, at the age of 16, brought great sadness to the relatives and many friends who loved and admired this exceptional young man; and
WHEREAS, A native of Beaumont, he attended Hardin Jefferson High School, where his dynamic personality was matched only by his thoughtfulness and sensitivity; and
WHEREAS, In his short lifetime, Mr. Christopher was a born entertainer, amusing family and friends alike with uncanny imitations of singers, actors, and athletes, bringing a smile to all who witnessed; and
WHEREAS, Kit Austin Christopher's devotion and loyalty to his family, friends, and teammates have been missed by all, and the passion for life exhibited by this bright young man will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 75th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kit Austin Christopher and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his parents, Gary and Cheryl Christopher; to his brothers and sisters in law, Wes and Karen Christopher, and Monty and Holly Christopher; to his sister and brother in law, Molly and Davis Watson; to his grandparents, Robert and Virginia Christopher Monroe; and to all the relatives and friends of this remarkable young Texan; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kit Austin Christopher.
