David G. "Skippy" Christman, 61, of Leesport, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Lebanon Veterans Hospital in Lebanon, PA. He was the husband of Linda S. Lis of Kenhorst. He was the son of Joan (Rinker) Werner of Mohnton and the late Arthur Werner. Skippy was a graduate of the Governor Mifflin School District. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Corps. Skippy was a longtime employee of Deka Battery and the Pogada Machine Shop. He was an animal lover, a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and a lifetime member of the R.M.C. and an original member of the H.D. riders. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by five siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the R.M.C., 208 Jefferson Street, Oley, PA.
