A. F. Christie, 94, of Thomasville,died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born June 11, 1906, in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Allen Christie and Mary Jane Byard Christie. He was married to the late Lucille Fanney Banks Christie. He had lived here most of his life, was a grounds keeper for Home Park Farm Plantation and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include grandsons, Richard Rogers, Steve Rogers, both of Thomasville; and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Gloria Christie Rogers.
