Mrs. George (Anna) Anderson, 69, of Bagley, died Saturday, April 29, at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4 (today) at 1 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley with Rev. Milan Davig officiating. Burial will be made in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson was born January 26, 1909 at Toton, Norway, to parents Sigvert and Hanna Christianson. She came to the United States in 1909 as an infant and the family settled in the Bagley area.
She was married to George W. Anderson at Elizabeth City, North Carolina and they lived in numerous places were George was stationed while in the Navy. They returned to Bagley in 1975.
She is survived by her husband, George, daugher Harriette (Mrs. Robert Balay) of New Haven, Connecutte and son Donald of St. Paul, and by six grandchildren, Christopher, Anne and Jean Balay, and Kathy, Tim and Karen Anderson. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Engebretson, Clearbrook; Mrs. Marie Sandy, Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Olga Falk of Blackduck and by one brother Christ Christianson of Bagley.
At the time of her death she was president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit of Irvin Blix Post 16 of Bagley. She is a Past Worthy Matron of Olive Branch Chapter No. 114, Order of Eastern Star and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
