Alan Christiansen was born in Copenhagan, Denmark in 1907. His family returned to St. Thomas where his mother had lived before her marriage. His father worked for the West Indies Trading Company for many years and was in charge of the first electrical plant on St. Thomas. Alan returned to Denmark and lived with his grandparents and got his chemist degrees.
He migrated to Phoenix, Ariz after becoming a nat'l citizen and worked as a chemist in his youth in the Phoenix area. He arrived in the US on the ship 'Siam' with his father from St. Thomas in L.S. and went to Phoenix to join the family members already there.
In 1942 he married Abigale 'Gail' Rath. Two girls were born to the couple.
In later life he became a successful stock broker spending his last years in a new Sun City office.
Always a possitive, energy filled person who became special to family members. He died on the tennis court, having won the game. A dashing, well dressed man always whose wisdom is remembered.
