WATERBURY — A. Dora Rinaldi died on Wednesday, 5 August 2009, in Waterbury, Conn., seven weeks before her 104th birthday. She was born in New York City on 23 September 1905, to Constantino and Bambina (Lanese) Christiano. The family subsequently moved to Waterbury in the early 1910s.

A. Dora married Paul Rinaldi of Oakville on 15 June 1925. After a few years in Oakville they lived in Waterbury for the rest of their married life. Her husband, Paul, died in 1985, and she was a widow for 24 years. A. Dora maintained the family residence on Byrneside Avenue with her son, Dr. Frank J. Rinaldi, retired full professor and dean at Paier College in Hamden.

"But O, for the touch of a vanish'd hand,

And the sound of a voice that is still!"

Arrangements: Funeral 9 a.m. Monday at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. Lucy's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hour is Monday from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
