Betty was born the daughter of the late Stephen K. and Nettie Faye Moss Spears. Betty's family moved to Buckeye, Arizona in the early fifties where she later met and married Mickey. They were married September 18, 1956. After they were married, they moved to Colorado and then to Texas in 1962. After a short stay in Texas, Betty and Mickey moved to Albertville, Alabama in 1971. There she learned to play golf, became the manager of the pro shop and went on to become the Lady's Club Champion. In 1976, they moved back to Texas and have been Alvin residents since. Betty was a die hard Astros fan who loved to watch the baseball games. She was an avid golfer, amateur artist, loved nature and working in her garden. Out of the many loves that Betty had, first and foremost she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Nettie Spears; brothers, Jerry, Dennis, Kenneth and Carlos Spears; and sister, Joyce Pittman. Betty is survived by her loving husband of fifty three years, Roy Dale "Mickey" Christian of Alvin, Texas; daughters, Dee Epler and husband Randy of Alvin, Texas, and Donna Husband and her husband Wayne of Alvin, Texas; sons, Roy Christian of Dickinson, Texas and Michael Christian and his wife Nisa of Pearland, Texas; sisters, Faye Mattison of Phoenix, Arizona, Sharon Quicksell of Venia, Ohio, and Barbara Clouse of Parker, Arizona; brother, Steve Spears of Parker, Arizona; grandchildren, Lexxie Christian, Landie Christian, Avery Michael Christian and Kelsey Husband; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
