Rock Island resident and Warren County native Thurman Christian, 73, died March 31 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.
A retired employee of the cutting department at Findlay and a member of the Baptist Church, he served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
The son of Oscar and Della Pearl Taylor Christian, he is survived by his wife, Alice Ward Christian; son, Terry Christian of McMinnville; daughters, Mary Christian and Becky Rader, both of McMinnville; brother, Herman Christian of McMinnville; sisters, Daisy Seals of Cagle and Dorothy Jean Mullican of McMinnville; and grandsons, T.J. Christian of Lynchburg, Scotty Christian and Christian Rader, both of McMinnville.
Services were held Tuesday at High's Chapel with Dennis Deweese officiating. Burial followed at Hills Creek Cemetery.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
