Former Nelson resident J. Fredrica "Freddy" (Primrose) Christensen, 77, of Fremont passed away Friday, November 22, 1996, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Mrs. Christensen was born October 14, 1919, to the Rev. William J. and Jewell Effie (Jones) Primrose in Spalding. She grew up in Spalding and St. Paul. She graduated from St. Paul High School.

November 23, 1938, she married Bertram T. Christensen in St. Paul. They lived in St. Paul, Nelson and Grand Island before moving to Fremont in 1950. They also lived for five years in Shenandoah, Iowa.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fremont and Presbyterian Women.

Preceding him in death were one sister and one brother.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Patrick of Harvard and Linda Heyen of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; one son, Richard of Hastings, Nebraska; two sisters, Arlene Dumse of New London, Iowa, and Kathryn Balsley of Seaside, California; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 1996, at the Presbyterian Church in Fremont, Nebraska, with the Rev. Stephen Brownlee officiating. Private family burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.
