A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Clair Chrismon and the late Cleo Loy Chrismon Huffines and was married for over 66 years to Mrs. Evelyn Cole Chrismon, who survives. He retired from Burlington Industries with over 45 years service and was a life long farmer. He was also a member at Johnson Baptist Church.
Mr. Chrismon is survived by his wife of the home; six daughters, Kay Hartley and her husband, Jerry, of Gibsonville, Janice Lambert of Alamance, Gail Turner and, Larry, of Reidsville, Betty Saul and her husband, Leon, of Elon, Becky Smith and her husband, Lacy, of Liberty and Carol Allen and her husband, Mike, of Gibsonville; two sons, Billy Chrismon and Arthur Chrismon and his wife, Hope, all of Gibsonville; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lucille Justice.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2007 at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. Brian Ayers.
