Mrs. Louise Beckner Chrismon, 79, of 412 N.C. 150 West, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital.

The funeral for Mrs. Chrismon will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Chrismon was a native of Roanoke, Va. She was retired after many years as a bookkeeper and working in retail. She was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.

Mrs. Chrismon was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Paul Chrismon and her son, Alvis Paul "Butch" Chrismon Jr.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Thomas and husband, Wayne of Greensboro; sons, Robert Chrismon and wife, Rose of Greensboro, James Chrismon of Greensboro and David Chrismon and wife, Pamela of High Point; brother, Lowell Beckner and wife, Brenda of Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adult Center For Enrichment, 122 North Elm St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
