Charles Edison Chrismon, 52, of Arthur City died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at his home.
Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Hopewell Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Sanders will officiate. The family will have lunch at noon Saturday at Chicota Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and will receive friends there.
Mr. Chrismon was born Oct. 18, 1946, at Forest Chapel to Thomas Alva Edison and Melba L. Dollins Chrismon.
He had served in the Army. He was a Baptist and worked as a sewing machine mechanic and was former plant manager of Megasak.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene; his mother, Melba Chrismon of Arthur City; sons, Charles Andrew Chrismon of Rochell, Thomas A. E. Chrismon II of Paris, Charles E. Chrismon Jr. of Edinburgh and Jeremy Dees of Campti, La.; a daughter, Patricia Ann Chrismon of Longview; a niece, Jerrie Green of Balch Springs; a nephew, Jerry Pierce of Arthur City; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Chrismon, and a sister, Patricia Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Andy Gene Beasley Jr., Jerry Don Pierce Sr., Kevin Gates, Roy Kresen, James Wright, and Shelly Morrison.
