CHOATE, Edwin Lewis 91, went to be with the Lord, Sept. 16, 2010. Ed is survived by his wife, Eileen and 2 children, Cheri and Chuck; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara. He was born in St. Paul, MN and graduated from U of M with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was a 2nd Lt. in the Navy and later moved to Clearwater in 1957. He retired at age 65 from Honeywell. Ed took on leadership roles within the community; Pres. of Kiwanis, Minnreg's, Credit Union, Windjammers, etc. Ed and Eileen loved to travel throughout the world in their retirement years. He was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 25th at 10 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 110 N. McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater 33759. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Calvary Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry or Suncoast Hospice in memory of Ed. Curlew Hills Funeral Home
