Mrs. Akers died at her home on Saturday as a result of heart trouble, following an illness of three months.
Born in Clinton county, April 15, 1865, she was the daughter of Hiram and Mary Choate. On May 19, 1887, she married Edward Akers, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1937. She was a member of the Kilmore Methodist church.
Surviving are one son, Russell Akers of Frankfort route 7; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Velma, preceded her in death.
