Jimmie Chisler, 65, of Fairview died Thursday March 25, 1999 at Hundred. He was born Jan. 5, 1934 at Daybrook, a son of the late Stacy and Ethel M. Moore, Chisler. He was a coal miner, retiring from Loveridge Mine Consol Coal Co. He was the owner of Chisler Excavating and Paving Co. He was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ in Fairview, member of the UMWA, and the West Virginia Contest Riders Association. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Sue Mason Chisler; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Julie Chisler and Scott and Tricia Chisler all of Fairview. Four sisters, Lena Shriver, Rachel Lewis both of Daybrook and Margaret Stewart and Nona Drake both of Fairmont; and one grandson, Skye Yeager. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe D. Chisler and one sister, Dema Gump. Burial was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
